USA says "In God we Trust" but ............?

WRITTEN BY A 15 yr. old SCHOOL KID IN ARIZONA :

New Pledge of Allegiance (TOTALLY AWESOME) !

Since the Pledge of Allegiance

and

The Lord's Prayer

are not allowed in most

public schools anymore

Because the word "God" is mentioned....

A kid in Arizona wrote the poem below

NEW School prayer :

Now I sit me down in school

Where praying is against the rule

For this great nation under God

Finds mention of Him very odd.

If Scripture now the class recites,

It violates the Bill of Rights.

And anytime my head I bow

Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,

That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.

The law is specific, the law is precise.

Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall

Might offend someone with no faith at all.

In silence alone we must meditate,

God's name is prohibited by the state.

Does USA still trust in God?

USA says "In God we Trust" but ............?

I do !! The poem is cute and sorry to say, accurate. If we deny God He may very well deny us. Wake up people !!

USA says "In God we Trust" but ............?

Actually, Americans are starting to come to their senses.

USA says "In God we Trust" but ............?

cool I guess. People should just get over being offended. If everybody was spattered with what we now see as offensive from the time they are kids til adults, we wouldn't have these pansy *** people crying about something like a prayer. I'm athiest and see no probs with "god" or any other religios mentionings.

USA says "In God we Trust" but ............?

Excellent and really gets the point across...thanks.

But as long as there are tests, there will always be prayer in school.

USA says "In God we Trust" but ............?

Praying has never been banned from public school. It just can't be endorsed by the school itself or interfere with the other students. So praying silently or getting together with other students for group prayer in a private location is perfectly fine.

And I've never heard anything about the Pledge of Allegiance not being allowed in school. The only thing I know is that students have the right to refuse to speak it due to religious beliefs.

In short... whoever wrote this stupid poem needs to get their facts straight.

USA says "In God we Trust" but ............?

the ones that get offended is the ones that don't belong here

i dont thrust my beliefs on others but i do think we should be able to pray or thank god when and where we chose to

also the guy who chimed in befor me you can't pray in any i went if they heard you pray you would get saspened just amigian what would happin if you got a group of people together

People can do what they want and believe what they want, but I don't want anyone forcing my kid to pray in school.

Sorry to tell you, but we're not a nation of Christianity. We may be a nation of God, but lot's different people from all walks of life believe in a single God. We're a nation of religious freedom, and you have the freedom to worship how you choose as long as it's not affecting anyone else.

USA says "In God we Trust" but ............?

You are correct. And as for the argument that it hasn't been banned, just can't be supported - that's not true. I KNOW from experience of being suspended over it.

It's a sad day indeed because the constitution prohibits government from making any laws which prohibit the free exercise of religion.

USA says "In God we Trust" but ............?

Absolutely we do! From little towns all over America to the politicians that fight on Capital Hill for our rights. Just have faith in your beliefs and register to vote when you're 18. And also tell your parents to vote too.

USA says "In God we Trust" but ............?

I think that it is really sad that I am supposed to accept everything that anyone does or thinks but the minuet that I say or do anything "Christian" I am criticized or demeaned. If I have to tolerate gays, Jews, goths, emos, and every other school of thought out there why don't they have to tolerate me and my opinions? I may not agree with some of these groups, but I can tolerate them. Why do they have the right to free speech and I as a middle class white male don't. Why has political correctness turned into bash the white Christian male? I am tired of it, and I think we need to change this country into what it can and should be, equality for everyone.

USA says "In God we Trust" but ............?

Our Country was founded on Christian principles. The children were taught to read so that they could read the Holy Bible. Congress always, and still does, convene with prayer.

This country still believes in God but there are a few atheists who would like you to believe that this is not so.

Do not allow a few to take God out of our Country!

Stand up and let your Christian voice be heard!

USA says "In God we Trust" but ............?

*rolls eyes*

Prayer is not forbidden. Forcing others to join in prayer IS.

This is not a Christian nation. The Founding Fathers were mainly deists.

USA says "In God we Trust" but ............?

If they trust God they would obey Gods commands and enforce His laws. But they do quite opposite what God said in all Divine Revelations. So I don't understand what do they mean by saying in God we trust.

USA says "In God we Trust" but ............?

Yes, we trust in God.

USA says "In God we Trust" but ............?

i want to say as americans ,as human beings and as a world in trouble we have all our lives did the pleadge in school and we have every right to do so we are not allowed to go to other countrys and change there ways of life, rules and what they believe in why is it we have to change for the foreinors that are moving in to our country and besides that theres alot of other more important things to focus on then this don't you think

Prayer in schools might not be allowed for teachers, but they cannot deny it to the students. My son is 12 in middle school and he is part of a prayer group who meets on Tuesday and Thursday before school starts in the school theater and they have a 10 - 15 minute prayer meeting/bible study ...in the school. The girl teaching the study is in 8th grade and is only 13. One of the teachers is in charge of the group , but doesn't participate. I don't know how they got around the law that way, but it is happening every week. And when this girl goes to high school , she is planning on starting a group there and my son is going to take over in middle school, until my other son gets there in two years.

God always makes a way for us, if we are serious about His business. He is worthy to be praised.
