hold your hair in a pony tail behind your head (no bobble) then twist it from the top of the tail towards bottom until you get to bottom then fold it back towards your head then use the pin and bow to hold hair in place on your head

okay, well it depends what type of parting/fringe you have.
For a middle parting, you're lucky; you can put it either side. First rest it on the parting, then slide it down until it looks right.
For a side parting/fringe, look for the side the fringe is sloping down upon. On the that side, pin it roughly 2/3 cm back from the middle of the slope.
For a normal fringe, heck, pin it anywhere you want!

you have the same exact hair as my 16 year old sister! she never does her hair plain. some of her master pieces: she flips her side bangs over the opposite way and clips it in a yellow bow. another cute one- she does two low pony buns and just leaves her side bangs as they are. one more- twists hair into a high/medium bun, leaned a bit into a side bun and then puts in chopsticks; oh and on some days she clips her bangs straight back and puts the rest of her hair into a low side pony tail. your welcome!
Try head bands. You can wear one with a ponytail (channeling your inner Lauren Conrad), or without the ponytail. You can wear thin head bands (one or more) with a ponytail for a more athletic look.
Also try clips. Go to your local drugstore/Target and look at all the hair clips they sell. Most of them will list suggestions on the back (like, twist hair into a French Twist and pin).

I really don't think it has anything to do with the hair. It's more about the rosin, the strings, and the way you attack the violin.
My daughter is 6 months old and she has a lot of hair for a baby. I want to start putting little barrettes with the bows on them in her hair. Do I comb her hair to one side and put the bow in sideways or do I comb it backwards and put the bow in straight?? I'm getting her pictures today so I really need some help.
for a baby that age, I would part it on the side and put in a barette on the side with the most hair. I don't know any baby hair websites, but I've been taking care of my niece since she was 3 months.
You probably won't have a lot of time to fuss with it before she gets cranky, so this one will probably suffice. her 1 year pics you'll have way more option!

With my daughter, I always just wet it then put a little pony on top of her head, it was so cute, her hair was short so I don't know if this will help. Just remeber at this age they don't want to sit to long so try to pick a hair style that won't take long to do and doesn't involve to much pulling.
I usually take the front of my daughter's hair and twist it, then clip it in place with the bow. Most of the time, I just put it into 2 little pigtails %26amp; add a bow, or barrettes, or balls to that.
Also, give her something to play with while you're trying to do her hair. I always give my daughter one of her hairbrushes. Then she sits still a bit more.
To the side.
I pulled the sides and top up and wrapped a little stretchy band (they make them especially for babies) around it and then clipped a hairbow or barette on. Warning, though; my baby never left hers on for more than a few minutes so I always had to redo it before pics were made. Make sure you bring extra bows, barrettes, hair bands and a brush/comb with it just in case.
My daughter when she was that age had a lot of hair too. For her and her sisters 6 month old pictures I just combed it to one side (no barrette), and it turned out great ( have some pictures if you want). But you could also comb it to one side and put a barrette in, would look cute too!
it all depends which way her hair grows
go with it, if her hair grows toward the side then do it on the side with a little bow. if you cant find any specific direction then you might want to try a headband. you can get some really cute ones elastic with bows or flowers on them.
I was wondering if anyone could give me instructions or direct me to a website that can tell me how to put bows in a poodle's hair. The groomer does it using hemostats. I bought a pair but I cannot get the bows to stay in. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I use dental bands and hemostats. I make the bow with dental band or you can buy them premade. I wrap the band around the hemostats twice or 3 times depending on how much hair and the band size.
I make and loop of hair, and open the hemos and put the band around the hair. Then I slide the band off the hemos and using the closed tip of the hemos to pull the hair out through the band. You have to pull gently and evenly.

DO NOT leave bows in the hair over 3 days or you could end up with a big matt. Also, always check to make sure there is some space between the band and the skin or you could end up with damaged skin and a bald patch. Also slide your metal Greyhound comb between the band and the skin to slightly loosen the hair underneath so it doesn't pull on the dog and hurt.

I always put bows in my cocker-poo by making a small top-knot on her head, then I used those small orthodontic elastic bands to keep the bows on. My little lady lived for 17 years. She died just this last December. I still miss her so much!

I would think that some dark brown flats would look good with it, but the birkenstocks would probably look a bit better. What I think you should do is put your hair in a pony tail, and before the dance put curlers in it(while in the pony tail) and it will turn out really really pretty!!! Then you could put some bangs down and pin them up with a pink bow.

It depends on what kind of hair you have. If you have naturally wavy, frizzy, tangly hair like me, then you might want to flat iron it and leave it out.
If you have naturally straight hair that is not tangly and is swishable(you can swish it around and around), you will want to put it in a half pony tail with a pink bow, like you suggested.
If you have any other kinds of hair, you should curl it into perfect ringlet curls and pile it on top of your head with a pink clip. Just like in the movie READ IT AND WEEP from Disney. At the part where she is going to the dance. Look at her hair.

First let me say that I dont know what stores you have available to you so I will do the basic ones.
I will assume that this is a casual dance; taken that you plan to wear Birkenstocks. I would first suggest ballet flats or another flat. Metalics have been really big for the past few seasons. I would look for a bronze or silver. I would also stay away from anything flashy becuase the skirt you have selected is pretty casual.

For an extra little something. A bow could be cute. You dont have to be nit picky about matching the shade and fabric of the bow on your skirt to the one in your hair. Just make sure that the one in your hair is a diffrent size.
Here are some other ideas:
1) Easy and simple a pearl necklace. Make sure it rests right at the nape of your neck (not quite a choker and not droopy). Have fun with the size of the beads. Big/small it doesnt matter.
2) You can also get a long pearl necklace and wrap it around your wrist to make a chunky bracelet.
3) Get a fun bag. Dont listen to the saying "your shoes have to match you bag". Its old and cliche. I would say however, that you shouldnt mismatch them either. Meaning, dont do branze shoes with silver bag. The hot new bag in the fashion world is a Super Clutch. Its basically an over sized clutch. Here are a few fun shapes from Target. These are jsut to give you an idea of shapes that will go with your over all look. Youll have to find one once you pick your shoes (or visa versa).

hold a section of hair taught but not TIGHT there should be some give, start at the roots and "back" brush the hair with a comb and work your way towards the ends. use short quick firm movements. it's easy you will get the hang of it! :)

when your done and you want to take the tease out, the best way is to flip your hair over upside down and run your fingers through your hair starting at the roots.

So I have a LOT of those big hair-clips, like ones with bows, and some pretty antique-looking ones of 'gold' with flowers and such, or ones with pearls. Just straight barrettes, I guess, with decoration. They're all about 2-4" long. The question is-- what besides taking a top layer of hair and clipping it in the back-- can I do with them? You could always glue them around a picture frame and use them as decoration. If you want to use them for your hair pull some hair up on each side and clip back. That looks really cute on me and really cute on my mom too! So its really for all ages. It looks more sophisticated in curly hair even though mines straight whenever I'm having a day where I feel like crap wearing my hair like that makes me feel better. Oh I just realized you said they were big hair clips. I dont think two big ones on your head will look right. Try twisting your hair (chignon style) and clip it in the back.

First of all, horsehair is incredibly coarse in comparison with human hair.
It's also more durable -- human hair would immediately start to break, or acheive a "split ends" affect, the moment you tried to play with it.

Why?
If you ever felt horsehair, it's thicker and rougher and coarser than human hair. Human hair might work, and it might have a different sound, a softer sound, but horse hair would be louder and it would hold the rosin better. Plus there aren't many people with hair that long!
I suppose it's technically possible but wouldn't be as durable because human hair is much thinner than the hair from a horse's tail.

1. Icing or Claire's at your local mall has hair clips and bows and headbands for a reasonable price.
2. Tie the ribbon around a ponytail, or use it as a headband. Any ribbon will make you look younger they arent very mature, but they look cute nonetheless.
3. My personal favorite hair accessory this season is rhinestone barrets and clips anything with stones, black, clear, nothing too colorful like pinks or blue.
You can get those clip bows at a drugstore, or a grocery store. Theyre usually really cheap, like a few bucks for 10 of them. And its accessories btw :)

I if you kno how, try doing a twistys in the front to the middle of the top of your head and then leave it down, use some jel and bending down with your head shake and fluff your hair with your hands and crimp your hair and make it have body. Make a habbit: Massage the scalp for 10 to 15 minutes after bathing it with water. This stimulates the blood circulation and strengthens the hair follicles in the scalp.
Massage into the scalp and hair coconut milk or Aloe Vera gel. Leave it for é—„?hour, then rinse with warm water. Repeat 3 times a week.
Massage into the scalp and hair honey with egg yolk. Leave for a 1/2 hour, then rinse.
Massage almond oil on scalp 2-3 times a day, daily. This will stop further hair loss.
Rinse hair with a mix of apple cider vinegar and sage tea to help hair grow
Scrub the bald portion with onions till it becomes red. Then applying honey.

You don't have to follow the blow dry direction, just put it on when your done straightening, don't forget to apply from roots to ends.

Leave it wavy! Buy some wave defining products, like bed head has some that defines the waves/curls.

get a good quality ceramic straightener so it doesn't damage your hair. You can also buy heat styling spray which protects your hair from damage from the straightener and helps it to hold its shape better.
I'd also suggest leaving it wavy, but manage it nicely with serum and good conditioner, utilise what you've got :)
do it the night before so ur hair dries properly. mine does the same if i dry and straighten it right away because its still moist, u just cant feel it
It sounds like your could benefit from a product called an anti-humectant (sp) it protects your hair from the moisture in the air to stop the frizzies. After washing and towel drying you put in on its kinda of like a serum and then you blow dry. After its dry, section into smaller sections to flat iron and you should have better results. Also, spray with some hairspray at the end to keep things in place. You should be able to get a product like this either at Sally's beauty supply or from a stylist. Hope this helps!

OK so the obvious answers are the fashionable puff on the top just bobby pin your hair up in the way where your bangs stand up and let the rest of your hair down or put it up in a pony tail. There are also tons of different variations of the Pony tail you could do.The half up half down pony tail and also the peacock bun aka messy bun. Also french braided pig tails are really fun and there is also a really cool thing called fish tailing that you can do to your hair its a kind of elaborate braid. and the Topsy tail which is like an inside out pony tail. All of these are really fun and are relatively easy.

try applying some bounce creme when ur hair is wet and blow dry it with a round brush, pulling hair inside (for an in-flip) and outside (for an out-flip)
u can also try sleeping in curlers, using hot-curlers, or a ceramic curling iron to make small waves or curly qs!
here is another fun idea: buy a crimper and crim ur hair, then it will have cute large waves! then i can use some fun hair dye colors and dye small strands. me and my friends do this for fun in the summer!
another thing to do is squeeze lemon in ur hair and then go out in the sun and sit for a while, this should give u subtle hightlights...the natural, healthy, undamaging way!

You should consider using barettes, hair clips, scarves, and also making soft waves with a curling iron. You don't have to be stuck in a rut try something new from Claire's so it won't cost you much. If it suits you stick with it and change it every so often.

It depends on your accesory colour, But for a black dress, Your best bet is light natural makeup with red or bright lipstick or the reverse, bright eyes and soft lip colour.

For hair, i would go for loose or sectioned curls (like, big barrel curls, say like 5.)
You could add a headband, a clip or put the curls in a high ponytail and if you have bangs you could leave them down, and kind of flick them to the side.
Since you have hazel eyes and are a medium skin tone, i would try lining your top and bottom lashline only on the tips, or line the whole top lashline with a black, brown or a funky colour eyeliner, and 1 very light coat of mascara on the bottom.
You could use eyeshadow colours like pink, light green or maybie brown. Or, you could go without any on.
Since its the winter, i would go for a peachy blush. Smile, and apply a swipe of the blush on your cheekbones.
A tip for naturaly pinkish lips is to take a body scrub, and put it all over your lips and scrub. (with your mouth closed!) Then with a facecloth dipped in warm water remove all of the scrub. Repeat it a couple times if youd like.
Try a bold red lip, or a light pink. Use the white part of any lond lasting lipstick tubes, so nthing comes off during the night.
Before you go to bed tonite, put vasaline on your eyelashes, (top and bottom) lips and if youd like any dry skin on your face.

well my mom made a minnie mouse costume when she was in hischool, the early 90's. I am fourteen so really that wasnt so long ago. But anyway, i have the base of dress, like the big bow and the puffy sleeves. I am going to take it in so its not 80's puffy, but just enough to still look minnie mouse puffy.And then its lowish and fitted on the top and stomach with the bow in the center of my chest
Then i am making the bottom half really puffy. like with layers of mesh fabric to make it big and fun. then i have legging to wear underneath to make it school appropriate(itll be almost shorter than allowed). then im wearing black sparkly ballet flats. Ok, I have a shih-tzu that is almost a year old now and her hair is always in her eyes. Everytime I put a bow in her hair, clip, or anything, she pulls it out. Does anyone have any advice on how to make her keep them in?? She keeps running into doors and it bothers me. Please help.
Tie it in and then put a tiny drop of clear nail polish where the ribbon meets the hair. That's what we did at the grooming shop I worked at.
Have you tried the mini black hairbanders? They kinda remind me of the rubberbands kids used with their braces...they are tiny and quite difficult to remove from the hair. They are a continuous rubberband with no metal clasp holding the two ends together, which makes them easier on the hair (lessens breakage). Then put your bow on either with another rubberband or tied on.
She might just need a trim. Also I've heard of using superglue on short hair pups to hold in bows. I don't know if that is abusive or not. Finally try Petedge.com they have all sorts of grooming suppllies for a pretty good price.

it almost sounds like she need to see a vet and make sure her eyes are ok, tell your groomer about the problem and have them cut her top knot a bit shorter, or you can have it done so it doesn't have to be tied up at all like i do with male shih-tzus. at any rate, if you put the band in so tight that it wont come out the fur there will matt horribly. even groomers put the bow in kinda loose so that it will come out on its own after a few days.
on court she has her hair tied back and wears that revoulting pink bow headband which is put on too forward which makes her look bold and she shouldn't wear so much eyeliner and mascara when she's playing, off court in the newspaper she looks pretty all dressed up, I'm just expressing my opinion anyone is free to write whether or not you agree.
I think that it is wrong to say that she is ugly (even on the court!), she looks average, but she has the hottest body out there, and a beautiful smile! And yes, she is pretty of the court.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just because you think she looks ugly on the court doesn't mean that anybody else should or does. I think she looks sexy on the court personally, and off the court too. She has great muscle tone, great legs and a great complexion. She also has a great smile and isn't afraid to show it on the court. She even makes sweating look sexy.
She has a huge forehead, when she tied her hair back, it make her face look unproportionately, her face look too long. Off court she let her hair cover that forehead make her face look better.

If your bow is worth less than $100, I would suggest just buying another bow instead of rehairing it. Rehairing bows are mostly for those several hundred dollar bows...

I have my costume, and I'm wearing my hair down and wavy with ears and a bow.
My makeup is going to be quite pale because I have pale skin, with pink blush and lipgloss, and a little black nose painted on.
So now I just need to decide on my eyes, I need them to look really big and dramatic.
I have fake eyelashes, just regular black ones, but I don't know how to put them on!
I have quite long eyelashes anyway, but how should I apply my mascara to achieve the best look? I have the comb type or the regular brush...

The best fake eyelashes are the individual ones that come in bunches of like three hairs each. You just pop them in, fitting them in between your own hairs.
Then a nice black liquid liner on top of that is probably all you need.
Even with your naturally long lashes (brat! I'm jealous!), fakes will be more costume-y.
Full fake lashes are tougher since you have to bend them to conform to your eye. I can't get them right either, and the individuals are harder to mess up. Plus, if you lose one at some point, no big deal whereas losing a full one ruins the look.
Use tweezers and dab the ends in glue to apply the individual ones. And a good beauty supply (NOT a drugstore, choices are limited) will have super duper long ones in black.
Plus, this way, you won't need any mascara at all. And for Minnie, use extra blush on the apples of your cheeks only.
And I think a red lip would be better for the costume than just pink lip gloss. You don't want to look natural or every day for this - it's a costume so you can overdo it a bit.

The oil from your skin taints the hair, and makes it difficult to apply rosin. Additionally, the sound won't be as good.

A few things:
1) you get rosin on your skin
2) the oil from your skin can damage the hair on the bow
3) you could accidently break some of the hair, as they are very fragile
4) some of the hair could become loose, making it difficult to just tighten up those hairs

Public schools are funded by the government. We supposedly have a separation of church and state in the US. If kids want to pray by themselves, or in a group of similar faith, let 'em, but it shouldn't distract other students or be led by the school.

Kids can generally pray to themselves. You simply cannot have official prayers or group prayers.

I don't want my children to grow up religiously indoctrinated. Why should I pay taxes for the school to religiously indoctrinate them?
If we allow the Lord's Prayer, we have to allow every other prayer for every other religion. When are the kids going to learn anything?

Prayer is not "kept out of public schools". School-sponsored prayers are not allowed and I believe they should not be a part of our schools. We have religious freedom in this country and I would not want another person teaching my family members what prayer is about if they were not of our Belief... Would YOU? I feel that being allowed to carry your Bible, read, study, and obey it's content should be enough. You and I should not have to show off our religious beliefs by having public prayers during the school day. I always bowed my head and prayed several times during the daytime while I was in class. I do not think that has been changed. Have a great week.

School is for learning,silent private prayer is always okay no one will ever take that away.Forcing others to listen is wrong.
You can pray all you want in public school. What is illegal is teacher's or other school officials condoning or enforcing any specific religion or any religion at all. Public schools are a place for EVERYONE not just Christians and not just other religious folk. A teacher cannot force students to pray or lead a prayer even if it's not forced. Children of every kind need to feel welcomed in public schools not just those who follow one religion or who believe in god.
If you believe in god that's fine. You can pray and discuss god with your friends etc. You just cannot interupt your own or other people's learning with it and you cannot force it on anyone. If you and your friends want to have a private prayer circle before class starts no one can stop ya. Or if you want to pray in your head during morning announcements or something go for it. But you cannot interrupt a class for religion. Public school is a place for learning facts it's not a place to indoctrinate children with the idea of god or religion.
How would you like it if you were FORCED to pray to Allah every day in school? I doubt you would. (I"m sorry if my assumption that you are Christian is wrong. It's just that generally on here posts either come from atheists or Christians.) But the point is you would not want to be forced to participate in another religions rituals that you didn't agree with so why would you want to force that on other people?
It DOES offend those with no beliefs. WHY do you not see that? I wouldn't want MY children to pray in school, because I am not christian. You portray us to be intolerant, but it is YOU who need to be more tolerant.

It's like asking about the so called "Ten Commandments." Are you talking about the Catholic Ten Commandments or the Protestant Ten Commandments? They are not the same and mean different things. Or are you making your own up? In schools and public institutions prayers and god/gods/goddesses have to be religiously neutral and everyone wants THEIR god to be acknowledged. If I don't have to listen to your prayer I don't care what you do. It also shows a lack of respect and immaturity.

The fact is that ANYONE can pray in schools, but not led by any particular group as a whole school. You can't have the principal leading the school in prayer over the intercom.
That was put there to protect you and your narrow beliefs as well as mine. and our children's.
If I were principal of your or your child's school, and i led a prayer in the mornings it would begin by giving thanks to the sun and moon and go along with thanks to Ganesha (a Hindu god of learning among other things) for open minds and then close with "Blessed Be"

What's so good about it? Prayer in public schools is a waste of both time and taxpayer's money. If you want your children to pray, there are plenty of opportunities at home or in your church. However, please don't expect the government to promote YOUR religion at the taxpayer's expense and call it part of a "good education".

The public school system has worked long and hard to convince the children that there is no God, and that science "proves" it.
To allow them to pray would only cause problems at this point because the few stragglers that refuse to give up their faith in the Almighty (the remnant) could cause a problem. Especially if the other kids began to notice.
Hence - no prayer = no God
Remember - as a child, perception is reality
