Will you still be allowed to participate or not? My hair's just beginning to touch the base of my neck at its longest and it's a growing-out crop

You can always put a bow pin on the top of your head. I don't know where you are but cheer-leaders are often chosen politically. Have your mum ring up the director to make a small donation and you won't have to worry about your hair. I am not even joking. We had one girl on our squad who was 50 pounds over weight and had two left feet. Her mother was involved with the school though so... you get the picture.

Your hair needs to be tied up though.

If it's not possible, then they can't hold it against you.

we didn't have to put my coach wanted us to.

well anyways this girl on our squad had short hair.

and she used like berets in her hair. to hold them.

when i was in school, my bf was on the pon-pom squad and during big routines or competitions, they had to look alike. if the look was everyone in a ponytail, the girls with short hair would get "falls". Falls are just hair pieces that you can attach to your hair. it gives the appearance of a long ponytail!

I'm pretty sure every school is different but they can't hold short hair against you. Some coaches will tell all the girls to wear the same hair ribbons because they want everyone identical. My hair was at that length at one time and I actually made two smaller 'nubs'. lol

On each side of your head pull back a small 1-2 inch section and secure with a clear elastic band (sold at Claire's and walmart) then try a short piece of the ribbon. Instead of a bow tie a knot. The bow would be too big unless it's really thin ribbon.

The hair on your neck will still be down but you'll still be able to have ribbons. When your hair gets a little longer try pulling all of the front section together into a half pony tail.

I understand where your coming from, every time I do a pony tail the bottom falls out because my hair isn't even.
